Beauty and the Beast

Last night The Miami Childrens Theater put on there performance of "Beauty and the Beast" and what a performance it was. Its really hard to believe this is a childrens theater. The sets, costumes and cast were all FANTASTIC!!! Congratulations on another GREAT show!!!

Feast with the Beast

Tonight I attended The Miami Childrens Theater fund raising event "Feast with the Beast" to shoot some press photo's as they prepared for their upcoming performances of "Beauty and the Beast"at the Alper JCC, Russell Theater. The Sets and Costumes looked FANTASTIC! This should be another fantastic production by The Miami Childrens Theater.

Request for Santa

Mom wanted Santa to bring her a Calender with all the pictures from our trip to Nashville. So I worked with Santa to create the Calender she asked Santa for.... It was a Great Trip and now she can remember it all year long. Enjoy!!!!

The Little Prince

Tonight I shot a performance of "The Little Prince" for The Miami Childrens Theater at the Coral Gables Youth Center Theater. It was a GREAT performance by the entire cast.

Amy's Head Shot Session

Amy was looking to get some head shots done for upcoming auditions so we got together and captured a lot of great shots. We experimented with different backdrops and lighting during the session and went over ideas for future sessions so that we can put together more shots to create a composite card for her in the future.

Nashville

Taking a break and meeting up with Mom in Nashville to see my cousin perform at the Grand Ole Opry. We Stayed at The Gaylord Resort which was as big as an amusement park with as much to do and see. We took some time to take in the sites of Nashville, one of which was a river boat ride on The General Jackson. The views were amazing!!!

Miami Children's Theater presents MULAN

The rehearsals are over and now it is showtime. Tonight I shot for The Miami Children's Theater as they put on their performance of "MULAN" and what an outstanding show it was.

Everyone gave such an incredible effort and performance. Congratulations on an EXCELLENT show!

Pajama Game

Amber and Justins Wedding

Amber and Justin were married this afternoon at Christ the King Lutheran's Church in Coral Gables. Family and Friends gathered for a beautiful ceremony that celebrated the couples love. The celebration continued at the reception which was held at the Doubletree Hotel in Coconut Grove. Congratulations and Best Wishes Amber and Justin!

Mulan at Miami Childrens Theater

As The Miami Childrens Theater gear up for their upcoming production of Mulan, I took the opportunity to meet some of the performers and do some quick head shots as they rehersed their scenes.

Faby and Barneys Wedding

It was a beautiful day as Faby and Barney exchanged vows yesterday at the Miami Springs Golf & Country Club. The skies cleared as friends and family came together to share in this celebration. My friends at Evolving Media Services invited me along to help them record the event. Thank you Mike and Claudia and CONGRATULATIONS Faby and Barney.

It must be a sign. While attending the WPPI Convention in Las Vegas, I had to try my luck. I registered for a raffle at the Unique Photo booth to win a New Nikon D300. Well I just received a phone call from Joshua at Unique Photo and he gave me some great news..... I will be adding a Nikon D300 to my bag. I can't wait to start shooting with my new camera

Miami Childrens Theater

I have just signed on to work with the Miami Childrens Theater for their upcoming performances of "Mulan" and "The Pajama Game". I look forward to being able to provide them with just what they have been looking for and continuing this relationship into the Summer and Fall season. Thanks for the opportunity

WPPI Convention 2008 Las Vegas

What an amazing and inspiring week! WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) held it's annual convention last week in Las Vegas. I along with my good friends and fellow photographers, Mike and Claudia Mesa of Evolving Media Services (EMS), immersed ourselves for a week long educational journey into Wedding and Portrait Photography. There were more than 12,000 photographers attending the convention, all sharing their knowledge, experience and tools of our craft. We attended the Business Institute where Jerry Ghionis, Sarah Petty, Kevin Kubota and Robert T. Williams shared their insights and knowledge as well as there secrets for success. We also attended many great platform classes with some of the top photographers in the world. Bambi Cantrel, Sandy Puc, Michele Celentano, Yervant, Doug Gordon, and Tom Munoz where some of the most inspiring and informative classes which we attended. It was a great experience with so much to absorb. I am eager to put what I experienced into action

Introducing Leonard James Photography

After spending years with a camera in my hand and shooting portraits and weddings for friends and fun, it was time to take my passion in a new direction. I have spent the last 2 years switching to digital and getting serious about photography. During this time I have gone out on a variety of shoots with other professional photographers as well as attending many classes and seminars to aquaint myself with the new digital landscape of Wedding and Portrait photography. It has been a great experience and proof that some things never change. So after spending a week traveling Ireland on vacation with my camera clinched in my hand, I concluded now was time. So Leonard James Photography is officially launched. While I have been shooting for more than 20 years, primarly for the passion of recording the moments in life as it unfolds, I am ready to share my passion for photography on another level.
